Starr Readers Mission Statement Starr Readers provides new and unused books every December to children of Starr County Texas which is located along the TexasMexico border. Starr County is considered to have one of the highest poverty rates in the United States. Starr Readers helps enamor children with reading at an early age to encourage a lifetime of joy which books can provide. Quick Links Donation Letter While your donation goes strictly to the purchase of new unused books for the students we also strive to donate books to the school libraries.
