ABOUT FRIENDS OF TACONIC STATE PARK Friends of Taconic State Park supports the activities of the Taconic State Park in Copake Falls New York with an emphasis on the preservation of the historic Copake Iron Works located within it. We seek to promote the 7000plusacre parks recreational historic educational and cultural resources advocate for the maintenance and improvement of its facilities and programs and raise funds to enable those activities. The Friends seek to be a voice for the park by acting as a liaison with governmental bodies institutions schools businesses regional groups and other organizations of common concern. UPCOMING EVENTS ABOUT THE PARK The Friends work in support of the 7000plusacre Taconic State Park with its visitor welcome center located on Route 344 in Copake Falls New York above.
