These "energy poor" lack access to clean energy services -- services that small, local enterprises can affordably provide. E+Co offers an approach to affect energy poverty and climate change. With a combination of business development assistance and investment, E+Co has supported more than 150 enterprises now providing modern energy to more than 3.6 million people, which will result in 2.2 million tons of CO2 offsets each year. These are companies that are unserved and neglected by traditional financial players.
