THE BUSINESS ON BELGRADE ASSOCIATIONS MISSION IS TO PROMOTE, ENHANCE AND PRESERVE BEAUTIFUL LOWER NORTH MANKATO AS A DIVERSE BUSINESS, CULTURAL AND RESIDENTIAL DESTINATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY.

Mission

The mission of Business On Belgrade is to promote, enhance, and preserve the area as a diverse business, cultural, and residential destination. They aim to support the local community through various initiatives and events, fostering a vibrant environment that benefits both residents and businesses.

The Business On Belgrade Association was founded in 2004. It officially registered with the Minnesota Secretary of State in 2009 and achieved 501(c) nonprofit status in 2014.

Events

  • Blues on Belgrade: Originally started in 2009, this event features live music from local and national bands. It is held annually in July and has become a popular attraction, promoting community engagement and highlighting the area's cultural vitality.
  • Bier on Belgrade: Launched in 2012, this event celebrates German heritage with beer tastings, music, and festivities. It takes place on the last Saturday of September and is a 21+ event.
  • Bookin’ on Belgrade: Initiated in 2013, this family-friendly event encourages public health and wellness through a 'nearly 5k' fun run and walk. It supports the local Taylor Library and kicks off the summer events in May.
  • Bells on Belgrade: Introduced in 2014, this holiday-themed event aims to bring the community together during the winter season. Activities include trolley rides, reindeer games, caroling, and a festive parade.
