Third Way was founded in 2005 to focus on helping educate center-left policymakers on issues that impact the middle class. Our program areas are Climate and Energy, Economics, Education, Healthcare, National Security, Social Policy and Politics. Across each program, our success is based on a replicable model: establish a distinct outcome; set clear interim objectives; evaluate strategy; identify the target audience; and build a coalition or alliance to help accomplish a common goal. This model helped Third Way play a key role in changing the narrative on gun control, marriage equality, redefine higher education in the U.S., and most recently, transform the national climate policy conversation.
