The CSD Board of School Directors met on Wednesday February 26 to hold a hearing on the proposed closure of Elkins Park School. Elkins Park fifth and sixth grade Challenge students presented Looking at the Past with Eyes of the Future to faculty administration board members and their families on Tuesday morning. The CSD Board of School Directors convened for an information session regarding the future of Elkins Park School on Tuesday February 4 2025 inperson and via video conferencing.

In the first Dress for Success event of the year at Cheltenham High School at EPIC on Thursday, Dr. Alliyah Gaines - dressed in scrubs, a lab coat and clogs - regaled the audience with her long and winding journey from little girl who wanted to be a doctor to her place as an emergency medicine resident physician at Temple University Hospital. Throughout her journey of twists and turns, which included her father passing away, graduating from Hampton, failing the MCATs twice, landing a research job at the National Institutes of Health, taking a leave of absence from medical school, and deciding her position in general surgery wasn’t for her before landing her current position, she remained undaunted.
