THE ASSOCIATION WAS CREATED TO FURNISH ITS MEMBERS ENGAGED IN COMMERCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL PURSUITS IN THE CITY OF NEW YORK, FACILITIES FOR SOCIAL INTERCOURSE, AND SUCH ACCOMMODATIONS AS REQUIRED DURING THE INTERVALS OF BUSINESS WHILE AT A DISTANCE FROM THEIR RESIDENCES, ALSO THE ADVANCEMENT OF LITERATURE AND ART BY ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING A LIBRARY, READING ROOM, AND GALLERY OF ART.

Public Home Located in heart of lower Manhattan the Down Town Association is a social community unlike any other Private Dining Events Founded as a dining club the DTAs kitchens and staff have always set the highest standards for cuisine and service leveraging more than 160 years of traditions Membership Be a part of a lively social community in the company of fascinating and prominent people from many different backgrounds and occupations. Social Life The Club hosts a variety of events for its members to facilitate social engagement entertainment and education. Enjoy an exciting program of theme dinners lectures sporting gaming art and music with high profile guest speakers and artists. Our Story Established in 1859 the DTA has been providing a home away from home for its members for generations.
