Environmental Specialist Alyssa Comer is standing next to one of twelve emergency generators installed throughout Linn and Benton counties using CDBG disaster recovery grants (location: Linn County 3rd Fire District in Central City). If (when) the next derecho hits, more critical community facilities will be to remain operational through power disruptions thanks to Alyssa’s work.
