The Foundation Schools

The Foundation Schools is a nonpublic, nonprofit serving students with emotional disabilities and autism in four schools in the Washington, DC area. Serving students with emotional disabilities and autism in the DC metro area since 1975. Our mission is to provide a highly specialized educational and therapeutic program for students identified with emotional disabilities, as well as those with social, emotional, and learning challenges, preparing them to be lifelong learners. Our vision is "all students experience success." Our purpose is to inspire, uplift, and motivate our students to strive for a bright future and believe they can achieve their dreams. The Foundation Schools is a non-public, non-profit special education day school which delivers innovative school programs and support services for children and adolescents with emotional disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. The Foundation Schools serves students in grades K-12 from throughout the greater Washington area.
