As part of National EMS Week, Shore Medical Center recognized local EMS professionals for their hard work over the past year during their EMS Award Ceremony. Upper Township’s own EMT Anthony Lamanna, EMT Ryan Schaefer, and volunteer Abrianna Hoover were presented with the Clinical Excellence Award, an honor received based on feedback from the hospital’s nursing staff regarding the high level of care they provided to a cardiac arrest patient a few months ago. The Upper Township Rescue Squad is the volunteer sister to theUpper Township Division of EMS thatprovides additional support beyond normal staffing. The Rescue Squad also provides primary Fire Scene Rehabilitation services to the Township of Upper and surrounding area. Outside of operations the Rescue Squad exists for the purpose of facilitating opportunity for individuals to enter into the field of EMS with no experience providing access to education and training to the public and community engagement with our local families.
