Transforming education by humanizing the way children and adults engage with electronic screens. The International Children’s Media Center is a non-profit educational and cultural organization dedicated to transforming the way BIPOC children and youth use, view and engage with technology. By teaching diverse, at-risk youth to use digital devices with focus and intention, and by engaging them in art-making activities that support life-changing dialogue about media-messaging, the ICMC accelerates learning and strives to make interactions with screens empowering, humanizing and aspirational. In support of these goals, the ICMC provides vital access to high quality, multi-cultural media through festivals and other cultural events, and presents professional development workshops, together with resource materials to prepare youth of diverse backgrounds for success in the 21st century.
