On April 11, 2025, the Sullivan Foundation will return to its roots at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College to celebrate a century of service and impact at the Sullivan Showcase Centennial Celebration. Held in the historic Wyatt Center—the site of the first Sullivan Award presentation in 1925—the event will bring together alumni, students, educators, and philanthropic leaders to honor 100 years of recognizing and inspiring servant leadership across the South. This milestone evening will blend reflection and vision, marking the Foundation’s rich legacy while looking ahead to its next century of igniting good. A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the 2025 Sullivan Luminary Award to Julie Gehrki, President of the Walmart Foundation and a 2002 Sullivan Award recipient from Rhodes College. Gehrki’s journey from hands-on service in Memphis to leading one of the world’s largest philanthropic efforts exemplifies the transformative potential of a Sullivan legacy lived to its fullest.
