Pittsburgh Black Media Federation
The Pittsburgh Black Media Federation (PBMF) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1973 with the mission of advocating for Black journalists and promoting fair representation of the African American community in the media. As an affiliate of the National Association of Black Journalists since the early 1990s, PBMF has been instrumental in enhancing diversity within newsrooms across the Pittsburgh and Allegheny County areas.
