Yesterday, Food Bank of the Southern Tier joined our fellow Congressional District 19 food banks, Community Foundation for South Central NY and Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, for a visit to Chobani facility in New Berlin, NY, alongside Rep. Josh Riley.🥣 Chobani is a tremendous partner in the fight against hunger. They are a responsible employer, committed social impact enterprise, and a strong supporter of local communities. Following an insightful tour of Chobani's operations, we had the opportunity to speak with Congressman Riley and his staff about the real challenges food banks and our agency partners are facing across the region, from supply chain disruptions to increasing demand for food assistance. The visit concluded with a stop at the Community Cupboard of Edmeston, where Executive Director Maggie shared an innovative distribution model and community-centered approach to food access.
