Recognized 501c3 non-profit dedicated to saving shelter animals. Named 2015 Top Rescue Fundraiser for Best Friends Animal Society's NYC Strut Your Mutt event. Rebound Hounds Rescue rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes dogs from the New York City shelter system. We believe that there is a great home for every dog. How to make that happen is the real work of rescue. We’re committed to maintaining a network of foster homes. We believe that only in a home can a shelter dog decompress and begin the recovery process. We are also committed to bringing dogs and guardians together who are right for each other by knowing the dog, and knowing the prospective guardian. We evaluate the dog and the adopter and match lifestyle, energy level, experience, tolerances. It’s communicating about expectations and commitment, not just for the next few weeks when the dog comes into their life, but for life.
