People For Missions | Welcome
PFMHOHI is a non-profit organization that reaches the unreached and answers the cries of many children. One child at a time. All around the world. People for Missions (PFM) is legally classified as a non-profit (501-C3) religious organization. PFM was established in 1986 to bring the light of the Gospel to the unreached of this generation. Bangladesh, Colombia, Guatemala, Liberia, Mexico, Uganda, India and beyond are our international fields. PFM depends on the generosity of churches, corporations and individuals to fund the ministries in which we are involved. Without nationwide support PFM could not exist. Therefore, we praise God for the sea of hearts that carry God's word in the Great Commission!
People for Missions strategy for fulfilling the Great Commission embraces a 5-fold ministry. (1) We are an organization that trains and sends long-term and short-term missionaries to unevangelized and unreached people groups. (2) Through the sending of missionaries and partnership with indigenous leaders, PFM helps to plant churches. (3) PFM is responsible for the discipleship and sending of third world pastors and missionaries through practical church planting and biblical training. (4) Our social ministries include orphanage, medical, and feeding programs. We also help those in disaster crisis situations. (5) We seek to establish businesses to provide long term ongoing funding from the site of the work.
We also seek to partner with churches across the United States, assisting them in their vision to fulfill the Great Commission, by arranging short-term mission trips. These trips take a variety of expressions, in that some are evangelistic, some are medical/dental oriented and some are building/construction. We have our missionaries working with nationals and partnering in church planting endeavors. We also desire to have teams and individual members to be impacted spiritually and challenged as far as the call of God in their lives. We are blessed to have full-time missionaries (along with our national pastors and other full-time workers) in order to facilitate these teams. With their presence and aid it is easier to offer these kinds of trips.
People for Missions' primary ministry is in Guatemala. Remote mountain village evangelism, church planting, and leadership training provide the backdrop for our Casa de Esperanza (House of Hope) orphanage project. Casa de Esperanza opened in February of 1999. When complete, it will be a model for orphanage ministry in Central America.
