A Westchester non-profit, FCWC envisions a county where an environmental ethic defines and shapes all public and private decisions affecting natural resources. Dedicated to environmental advocacy & education for the preservation of our environment Founded in 1965, the Federated Conservationists of Westchester County (FCWC) motto is “Think Globally, Act Locally.” Our mission is to provide leadership that educates about environmental issues, advocates sound decision making, and unifies groups and individuals to protect and preserve Westchester's environment and address climate change. FCWC functions as an umbrella organization for disparate environmental groups in Westchester County. FCWC is a trusted resource for the community, government officials, environmental groups, schools, businesses and concerned citizens who seek informed opinions and direction. Our membership includes dozens of environmental groups as well as concerned citizens and educators.

FCWC Legislative Roundtable Highlights Federated Conservationists of Westchester County hosted a legislative roundtable on February 7th 2025 to give advocates from our member organizations and state legislators to discuss environmental issues including clean water clean air environmental justice and environmental land use. The event was a big success with around seventy in attendance.
