A new literary journal is launching, inspired by the legendary Nottingham Journal, the paper where literary giants like Graham Greene and J.M. Barrie honed their craft. This exciting revival aims to champion bold, original writing with the same spirit that once nurtured some of England’s finest voices. Submissions are open now through 27 June – and they’re looking for fresh, unpublished work (not previously in print or online). Original translations are also welcome, as long as they haven’t appeared in English before. https://www.newnottinghamjournal.com/submissions (fb)

Main Navigation Iowa City UNESCO City of Literature Connecting readers and writers through the power of story For more than 80 years Iowa City has been teaching the world to write. The Iowa Writers Workshop at the University of Iowa pioneered the teaching of creative writing at the university level. Dozens of creative programs within the university and the city followed. The newest chapter in this tradition is Iowa Citys designation as a UNESCO City of Literature.
