THE DISCOVERY CENTER ENDEAVORS TO CREATE AN ATMOSPHERE WHERE ALL CHILDREN, SIX WEEKS THROUGH SIX YEARS OF AGE, CAN SPEND THEIR DAYS IN A DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE, CHILD DIRECTED ENVIRONMENT. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PARENTS, EXPERIENCED, TRAINED STAFF NURTURE AND EDUCATE CHILDREN IN A SETTING THAT RECOGNIZES THE IMPORTANCE OF PLAY, A YOUNG CHILD'S NEED TO BE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE, TO BECOME INDEPENDENT, AND TO DEVELOP A LOVE FOR LEARNING.
