Coach Howard Schnellenberger and his wife, Beverlee, had a very successful career in the NFL and the NCAA, with winning football teams all over the country. But there was one aspect of their lives where they could not successfully figure out. It was their sons drug addictions. Even though their sons went to several treatment centers Howard and Beverlee still felt lost and kept doing the same things expecting different results. Little did they know, this is a “family” disease. Each of the treatment centers tried to help with a family weekend here and there to support their sons, but there wasn’t any real education on the disease, their role as parents of an addict or what to do when their sons came home....
