Home - The Shield Ohio Giving Back to Those Who Gave Everything Giving Back to ThoseWho Gave Everything The Shield The Shield is an organization seeking to serve the families of officers critically injured or killed in the line of duty within the Ohio counties of Hamilton Butler Warren and Clermont by providing them with immediate emergency funds and resources. Our History The organization was started after a Cincinnati officer had been killed in the line of duty and his family had no means of producing the funds needed to cover the living and funeralrelated expenses. Sensing a duty to care for their own the Chiefs of Police in Hamilton County began a 100 club pooling their own money together to support the family. Since then the 100 Club has grown into what is now The Shield its base of support expanding from the chiefs through the police force and out into the local community.
