This weekend, we celebrated the birthday of our CEO, Elisa, a woman whose life has been defined by service—from the decks of a Navy destroyer to the halls of Congress, and now as the leader of SWAN. Born on an Army base in West Germany, Elisa’s journey is a powerful testament to what it means to serve with courage, resilience, and heart. She spent 11 years in the Navy, specializing in anti-submarine warfare, teaching high school physics and math while in the Reserves, and breaking barriers as a single mom running for federal office. Since joining SWAN in 2021 and becoming CEO in 2023, Elisa has been a fierce advocate for women veterans—ensuring their voices are heard, their needs are met, and their contributions are recognized. 🎁 In honor of her birthday, we’re asking you to make a donation to support the mission Elisa leads every day.
