The Helping Place, Inc.

The purpose of The Helping Place is to provide mental health counseling and case management services for individuals and families in our community. We offer educational programs focusing on issues such as anger management, parenting and divorce, among other areas of interest. We provide Advocacy for crime victims and those navigating the legal system or other human services agencies. Our program benefits those who might not otherwise have access to professional mental health services locally. Our clients are those in need of individual, marital, or family therapy, as well as those having issues related to divorce and child custody. We provide a variety of support groups as a community service at no charge. Also, we maintain a large selection of brochures and materials from the Attorney General's Office, the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault, the American Cancer Society, and the Women's Advocacy Project, to name a few. We have established a lending library covering topics of interest to anyone wishing to learn more about problems they may be experiencing.
