We are so excited to share that we have received a grant from Community Foundation of Northern Illinois In Youth We Trust for the Girls Who Rock Pearls Program. This is a partnership with VOICES of Stephenson County, the Freeport School District, and United We Stand Affinity Group. The Girls Who Rock PEARLS program, provides leadership development for middle and high school girls. At its core, PEARLS empowers young girls to believe in themselves, overcome their circumstances, and contribute to the world in a positive way. It also allows an outlet where girls have a safe space and an open forum where they can express their fears, concerns and any issues they deal with both at home, and at school, which helps them develop them into leaders equipped with the knowledge to combat ideologies that glorify community violence.
