SOMA Society of Musical Arts The Society of Musical Arts SOMA was founded in 1981 by Dr. Samuel Applebaum New Jerseys worldrenowned master teacher of the violin. Our orchestra is an expression of Dr. Applebaums vision of providing opportunities for both amateur and professional musicians to present concerts of orchestral music free to the public with multigenerational appeal in a location convenient to the residents of Essex Union Morris and nearby counties.
