The mission of the American Fascial Distortion Model Association (AFDMA) is to promote the use of the Fascial Distortion Model to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and medical conditions, by: 1. Inform and educate the medical community about the Fascial Distortion Model 2. Establish certification standards for FDM practitioners and instructors in the United States 3. Provide training and certification for practitioners and instructors 4. Promote and fund research on the application of the Fascial Distortion Model 5. Work in cooperation with European FDM Association (EFDMA), FDM Asia Association (FAA), and African FDM Society (AFDMS) to coordinate standards of certification and training worldwide 6. Inform and educate the public about FDM 7. Promote appropriate use of FDM
