The Carpenter's Boat Shop is an apprenticeship program and an educational community for all people. The Carpenter’s Boat Shop free 9-month apprenticeship program provides an uncommon opportunity for people searching for new direction and meaning in their lives, to take deliberate space for personal growth through boat building, collective living, community service, and inquiry. Our mission is rooted in a commitment to the inherent worth and dignity of every person, and a balanced life informed by the principles of work, service, spiritually, hospitality, study, and recreation.

BOAT BUILDING INSTRUCTOR The Carpenters Boat Shop is seeking an experienced Boat Building Instructor to lead our handson ninemonth residential apprenticeship program. Youll guide a cohort of about 10 apprentices in the craft of wooden boat building with a focus on constructing our signature Monhegan Skiff.
