Here’s what you need to know: 🐾 Paws off the pavement! If it's too hot for your feet, it's too hot for theirs. Asphalt can reach temperatures of 150°F on a sunny day, which can burn your dog's paws in just minutes. Always test the pavement with your hand before going out for a walk. If it is too hot for you, it is too hot for them. 💧 Stay hydrated: Water is your dog’s best defense against the heat! Always carry a portable water bowl and fresh water when you’re out and about. Dehydration can happen quickly, so keep your dog sipping regularly. 🌡️ Limit outdoor time: The sun is strongest between 10am and 4pm, so try to keep outdoor playtime to a minimum during these peak hours. 🌳 Cool shelter: Make sure your dog has access to shaded, cool areas where they can retreat from the heat.
