Fish America Foundation
The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) is the sportfishing industry’s trade association. For over 90 years, ASA has advocated for clean water, abundant fisheries and access to both. FishAmerica was created to provide a mechanism for citizens and industry to put something back into the fisheries resources that make their businesses profitable and their spare time so enjoyable. For more than 20 years, FishAmerica has funded active volunteer organizations to complete locally-driven fisheries enhancement projects. FishAmerica supports the following hands-on projects to enhance water quality and fish populations: Fish habitat improvement, reef projects, fish passages, stocking, youth pond construction, and hands-on education.

Fish America Foundation
The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) and the recreational fishing community have been frustrated with federal management of red snapper in the South Atlantic for a long time. In a move supported by ASA, Florida will take the initial steps to implement state management of this important recreational fishery. Beginning October 6, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is hosting a series of public workshops to gain input from anglers on the future of the Atlantic recreational red snapper fishery and potential management measures.
