AMPP is a global community of professionals dedicated to materials protection through the advancement of corrosion control and protective coatings. SSPC was founded in 1950 as a nonprofit professional society concerned with the use of coatings to protect industrial steel structures. Its goals are to advance the technology and promote the use of protective coatings to preserve industrial, marine and commercial structures, components, and substrates. SSPC develops standards and disseminates information through a variety of publications, conferences and educational initiatives.
