HARK brings hands on art and music experiences to the children at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. We hold workshops with the children and their families every week. We provide 16 stations in the hospital with art supplies and harmonicas and egg shakers (to sooth the babies). The Nurses and Child Life Specialists access these boxes when a child needs something to do to take their minds off their fear, loneliness or pain. Their moods is better and their pain is lessoned by making art and music. This helps them to heal more quickly. Hark purchase art and music supplies as well for the Expressive Arts Therapies Department when requested and we also help with their funding. HARK reaches thousands of children each year.
