DEVELOPMENTS IN LITERACY INC
DIL was founded in 1997 and empowers underserved children in Pakistan through high-quality education. With 191 schools, DIL educates 61,000 children. Educating Children. Empowering Communities Developments in Literacy (DIL) was founded in 1997 by Pakistani-Americans who sought to improve the dismal state of education in Pakistan's underserved areas. With a strong focus on gender equality and community participation, we are dedicated to empowering and providing quality education to over 27,000 disenfranchised children by establishing and operating over 130 student-centered model schools in underserved regions of Pakistan. DIL directly operates community schools in Punjab and Sindh, and partners with non-governmental organizations to educate underserved children in all four provinces of Pakistan. In addition, we provide high-quality professional development to teachers and principals across the country.
