- Summer Leadership Institutes: From 2000 to 2002, the Institute hosted Summer Leadership Institutes at the Rutgers Creek Wildlife Conservancy. These programs focused on long-term ecological research and integrating technology into field-based inquiry.
- Conservation Learning Summit: In 2005, the Institute organized the Conservation Learning Summit, a major conference addressing conservation education and workforce issues. The event drew participants from diverse sectors, including academia, government, and non-governmental organizations.
- Brandwein Medal: Established in 2006, this award recognizes individuals or organizations for their contributions to education, lifelong learning, nature, and community, in line with the Brandweins' values.
- Nature Learning Preserve: The Institute offers nature exploration experiences through programs like Sundays at the Preserve and Summer Camps, providing hands-on environmental education.
