American Friends of Keren Malki Inc. provides support for the work of Keren Malki - The Malki Foundation, an Israel-based charity established in 2001 and dedicated to empowering the families of children with severe disabilities in Israel. Strictly non-sectarian and apolitical, Keren Malki was founded on the idea that, with appropriate support, no caregiver or other advocate can be a better carer for a child with serious disabilities than the family. From its base in Jerusalem, Keren Malki provides that support to hundreds of families in every part of Israeli society via the funding of paramedical therapies; sending paramedical therapists to children with severe disabilities who are house-bound or live in Israel’s peripheral communities; and the long-term lending of homecare equipment.
