FOUNDED IN 2008 AND REORGANIZED IN LATE 2009, THE MARCELLUS SHALE COALITION ( MSC) IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO THE RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT OF NATURAL GAS FROM THE MARCELLUS SHALE GEOLOGICAL FORMATION IN PENNSYLVANIA AND THE ENHANCEMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH'S ECONOMY THAT CAN BE REALIZED BY THIS CLEAN-BURNING ENERGY SOURCE. MSC IS PRIMARILY FUNDED THROUGH DUES FROM ITS MEMBERS.
