Participants in the Creative Industry Camp recently traveled to New York City for an unforgettable, behind-the-scenes experience exploring the fashion, beauty, theater, and film industries. Throughout the week, they engaged directly with industry leaders and creatives at companies including Target, Future Snoops, L'Oréal Group, Faherty Brand, Macy's, Netflix, Object & Animal, Epoch Films, Parsons School of Design, and New York University. From insightful conversations to campus tours, each stop offered valuable exposure to real career paths and possibilities. Thanks to Simpson Street, participants also attended a Broadway performance of Gypsy. Not only did they enjoy the show, but they also met the cast and received a special behind-the-scenes tour. To top off their NYC journey, they visited a historic Brownstone in Harlem, deepening their connection to the city’s vibrant cultural legacy. This experience helped participants expand their vision of what's possible, and we're excited to see how they carry this inspiration forward. Our Peer Advisors did a great job capturing the excitement. Read all about it ➡️ https://heyor.ca/KDx6qi (fb)

In the first half of the Girl Ambassador Program this year, participants focused on creating their own business concepts complete with prototypes, designs, mission, and visions statements! Not only did this help them open their eyes to new passions, but it also gets them in the mindset to learn even more from local entrepreneurs. (fb)
