Texas Parks & Wildlife Urban Biologist, Sam Kieschnick visited Tandy Hills today and found a few new species. We are now at 2,416 species, second only to FW Nature Center, but without permanent water and . . . protection from photographers and ATV's. (fb)
The showstopper meadows at Tandy Hills have slowed as the grasses begin to fill in. But the wild diversity is still there, you just have to look closer. The trails are narrower with knee-high wildflowers, the birds and pollinators are singing praises and so am I. (fb)

Tandy Hills Natural Area . a 220acre indigenous prairie remnant located in the heart of Fort Worth Texas. WHAT WE DO We promote the conservation and restoration of Tandy Hills Natural Area THNA as a rare remaining example of native prairie that is indigenous to much of the Fort Worth area. We strive to increase awareness of the importance of protecting and preserving natural areas through community engagement various outdoor education programs and volunteer opportunities.
