Never block the route of an emergency vehicle or stop in an intersection. 🛣️ Divided highways or one-way roads: Pull over to either the left or right side of the roadway to create a clear access lane in the center for emergency vehicles. ↔️ Use your turn signal: Indicate your intention to pull over using your turn signal to alert the driver of the emergency vehicle. ⚠️ Don't slam on the brakes: Stop gradually and safely to avoid sudden movements. 🚒 Watch for multiple vehicles: Often, multiple emergency vehicles will respond to an incident. Wait until all vehicles have passed before pulling back into the roadway. 👀 Stay alert and aware: Always be mindful of your surroundings and keep an eye on your mirrors for approaching emergency vehicles.
