Overview

The National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts (NAME) is a nonprofit, educational organization in the United States, founded in 1972 under the guidance of Allegra Mott. It serves as a platform for enthusiasts of miniatures, including collectors and builders, to share ideas, experiences, and skills.

Mission and Vision

NAME's mission is to promote miniatures through education, collecting, and building friendships and skills by sharing experiences and ideas. Its vision is to be the most active, inclusive, and sharing miniature building and collecting association.

Governance

The organization is governed by elected officers and appointed trustees as outlined in its Code of Regulations. Meetings are held according to these regulations.

Activities and Events

NAME hosts various events such as Houseparties, which are regional gatherings focused on fun, fellowship, education, and sharing the hobby of miniatures. These events are limited to members only. Additionally, NAME supports State Days, which offer opportunities for regional interactions among enthusiasts.

Publications

NAME's official publication is The Miniature Gazette, released six times annually. The Gazette contains news, workshop projects, event calendars, and special features related to the world of miniatures.
