Composer Paola Prestini is a leader in the global new music scene. She is the co-founder and artistic director of Brooklyn-based arts institution National Sawdust. Founded in 2001, VisionIntoArt (VIA) commissions and creates music-based works for stage or theater through an in-depth process of research, incubation and dissemination. VIA was paused in 2015, for the birth of National Sawdust; in 2022, VIA was reinstated after its successful launch, with cofounder Paola Prestini (mention other co-founders) continuing to guide with strategic vision.
