The Crossing | auditions Thursday, June 5 12-2pm in Philadelphia by invitation If you are interested in auditioning for The Crossing, please email your CV and sound/video files to Naomi Bennett - naomi@crossingchoir.org - by Thursday May 29. (Sound/video files may be links to your website media page or 3-4 videos/ recordings as attachments; the repertoire should be pre-1750 music and/or post-1950 music.) An accompanist will be provided for the audition. The qualities the singers of The Crossing share include: - listening - collaborative spirit - community instinct - beautiful, flexible singing (including straight tone, soft singing, and full, rich sound) - highly advanced sight-reading and musical skills - understanding of the mission and repertoire of The Crossing We have a limited number of audition slots and apologize if we are not able to invite you to this round. In the interest of transparency, we’d like to add that while we hold yearly auditions to meet new artists and add to our extended singer list, the audition is not for an imminent core position in the group. We do regularly engage the extended singer list for project vacancies and for projects with expanded rosters, and on occasion when a core position opens up, we will draw from that expanded roster to fill it.
