This weekend the Norman Studios Silent Film Museum is in Ohio at the Columbus Moving Picture Show, educating film buffs from around the country about our mission to preserve Jacksonville's silent film heritage. Museum information is positioned right next to several books that highlight films made in the city when it was the "Winter Film Capital of the World," and board member Jim Kerkhoff is taking every opportunity to talk up the great progress we've been making thanks to the support of our donors, volunteers, and city of Jacksonville. (fb)

The Norman Studios Silent Film Museum will be open to the public this Saturday, May 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Located at 6337 Arlington Road, our museum building can be seen in the background of these comedy actors from 1916 when it operated as a motion picture studio during Jacksonville’s heyday in the silent film era! Admission is free although donations are very much appreciated! (fb)
