Rebound Families Our Impact A growing awareness of traumas impact on familiesincluding the critical roles families play in helping children recoverhighlights the importance of putting families at the center of trauma services. When families carry out routines rituals and traditions they strengthen their connections and grow stronger. Talking laughing sharing memories and feelings and working together to solve problems manage stress and plan for each day and the future are necessary for resilience and recovery from traumatic stress. If families experience numerous or ongoing traumas resources diminish and the wearandtear effect on health and wellbeing may call for familyinformed trauma services in addition to resources for recovery and lasting healing.

Today, we say farewell to Keri Smith, who has been a tremendous executive director and asset to Rebound Families. Keri’s dedication, compassion, and tireless efforts have left a lasting impact on our team and the families we serve. Her work has touched so many lives, and we are deeply grateful for everything she has done to strengthen our community.
