Join us in congratulating Matthew Kwon ‘26 who recently won two awards at the Terra North Jersey STEM Fair for his project, “Harnessing Bacterial Biological Denitrification with Zero-Valent Iron for the Cost-effective Removal of Nitrate in Water!” 🏆 Competing against 150+ students from 10 counties, Matthew was the recipient of the NASA Earth System Science Award and the Stockholm Junior Water Prize. ⭐ NASA Earth System Science Award - Awarded to two projects that incorporate studies including different spheres of the Earth system, their interactions, and change over time. Projects should include cause-effect relationships based on evidence and demonstrate a clear understanding of how those relationships affect Earth as a system.
