The mission of the Girl Scouts - Prairie Winds is to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. This is accomplished by providing the opportunity for all girls within the jurisdiction of the Council to become a Girl Scout, both now and in the future regardless of financial, language, physical or emotional difficulties. The Council provides an nurturing environment for growth and development of both girls and their adult mentors which reflects the unique characteristics and needs of the members consistent with the broader objectives of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America.
