Gifting Sense is a free public good, purpose built to help kids learn to think before they buy. GiftingSense.org is an award-winning early financial education platform that aims to eliminate basic financial illiteracy in one generation by teaching school-aged children to think before they buy. Our free and safe mindful spending tool, the DIMS-DOES IT MAKE SENSE?® SCORE Calculator helps children work on a problem that matters to them in real-time: "Should I buy this item or experience?" This is important because financial information must be relevant, to be helpful, and stick. Thinking before buying is an easy-to-learn, powerful, and sticky life skill. Early financial education (i.e., during middle and early high school years) is critical because our money personalities (the habits and beliefs we have about money) are largely established by adolescence.
