Spring is a perfect time for exploratory and learning hikes. On Saturday volunteer Ken DeMuth led an adventure for the Spring Creek Stewards (including some CFC & BGI volunteers) while sharing his deep interst and local knowledge of the area's geology, archeology, and history. So many interesting facts about the land we see everyday. Citizens for Conservation Saving Living Space for Living Things Citizens for Conservation CFC is a volunteerbased nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment that once covered northeastern Illinois. CFC is based in Barrington Illinois where we diligently work to restore and maintain over 732 acres across 14 separate nearby locations. Thanks to many volunteers with a wide variety of backgrounds and interests who give their time as well as the generosity of many financial donors were actively restoring the beauty and biodiversity of our land for generations to come.
