There have been numerous queens throughout the ages but none as brave beautiful or fearless as Cleopatra. Over 50 years ago a New Orleans family chose to honor this icon of history and resolved to create the all female Krewe of Cleopatra. The Krewe continues to be combine their passion for Mardi Gras and their love for the city of New Orleans every year creating a unique and sisterhood of family members friends locals and outoftowners. Every year since 1972 on the night of first Friday of Carnival Season the Krewe rolls through the streets of New Orleans parading with unparalleled spirit and flair kicking off the city wide celebration in an unforgettable way.
