During its operational years, MSTERIO successfully connected over 40,000 children worldwide. The organization primarily focused on creating and distributing these dolls as a tool for facilitating cultural exchange and understanding. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, MSTERIO faced significant challenges, including reduced donations, the inability to hold events, and issues related to the sanitary conditions of shared dolls. These challenges led to a pause in the organization's activities for nearly three years.

Closure and Legacy

After consultations with health experts and discussions with its board, MSTERIO decided to close down operations. The decision was made due to the prolonged period of inactivity and the likelihood of several more years before operations could resume effectively. Despite its closure, MSTERIO expressed gratitude for its years of success and the support it received from donors, volunteers, and supporters.

It is important to note that MSTERIO, INC., was independent from MSTERIO.jp in Japan, which continues to operate its programs, such as summer camps and other events, without interruption.
