Kentucky Resources Council

KRC's mission is to protect Kentucky's natural resources and promote healthy communities by providing legal and technical guidance and assistance to individuals, communities, and organizations with environmental concerns. The Kentucky Resources Council is Kentucky's only statewide public-interest environmental law and advocacy organization. Founded in 1984, KRC works to protect Kentucky’s natural resources, fight for environmental health and justice, empower citizens to be effective environmental stewards, and promote policies for healthy communities and a livable climate. We provide our legal services free of charge, because everyone has a right to clean air, clean water, and land free of pollution. KRC works through four programs, the Kentucky Environmental Accountability Project, Environmental and Community Defense program, the Center for Environmental Policy, and the Kentucky Environmental Leadership Institute.
